Every Cafe Needs This Social Media Post Right Now

Customer confusion is a death sentence. Make buying from you easy.

Do I walk into your cafe to order coffee, or are you doing curbside only? Is there a drive through? Are you accepting cash?

Customers have lots of questions right now.

They want to stay health. They want to minimize exposure.

And they want to avoid the embarrassment of showing up to your cafe and not knowing how to order. Awkward.

The more confusion, the more likely they are to stay home.

You have to make it perfectly clear where to go and what to do. Setting clear expectations – especially in a time like this – is essential to survival.

Shoutout to two cafes from my hometown in Texas that have turned this into an art using social media.

monomyth coffee lubbock

Monomyth Coffee did not have a drive thru until two weeks ago, so it’s a totally brand new concept for their customers.

The shop’s Instragram stories, pinned to their page, make it very easy to visualize how and where to drive up for coffee.

Now when customers pull up in their cars, there’s no looking around wondering where to park. Everything from the flow of traffic to which window to pull up to is clearly indicated.

sugar browns coffee

Sugar Browns Coffee launched their mobile ordering and delivery app back in February – and good thing too.

Their Instagram story, pinned to their page so it’s always accessible, clearly demonstrates how to order coffee for pickup delivery, from downloading the app to paying and pickup.

In times like this, clarity is king.

Good luck out there.
