Free Advice From Pros (SCA, Boot Coffee, And More)

by | Apr 12, 2020 | 📨 Newsletters

Industry veterans are offering tons of free coffee business resources. It’s webinar binge season, apparently.

I’m loving watching the coffee industry come together. People are sharing insights, advice, and strategies everywhere.

Some of the BEST help I’ve seen have been free webinars made just for coffee companies. They’re covering things like:

  • Email marketing for coffee companies
  • How to pivot to ecommerce
  • CARES Act funding (wow that’s complicated)
  • And tons more

I love that.

Here’s an overview of coffee-related webinars I think you may find some important information from.

Roaster Tools Webinars

Jon Ewalt put together a fantastic series on digital marketing for coffee companies. Only 1/3 replays is up currently, but it’s on email copywriting from a pro-level copywriter Lianna Patch. He’ll also be publishing his social media during COVID-19 webinar soon.

Jon also put together a big list of other resources on the webinar page.

SCA COVID-19 Webinar Series

Peter Giuliano, Chief Research Officer at SCA, is doing a 6-part series on running a coffee business during the time of COVID-19.

Topics include optimizing walk-up and takeaway business, pivoting to online sales, the importance of communication, and beyond.

Can I do a quick humble brag? I wrote an article on how to stand out online when everyone is selling coffee… and Peter Giuliano shared it on Twitter! I was super giddy. You should check out the article here.

Boot Coffee Campus

The folks at Boot Coffee are well-known in the industry for their unrivaled expertise in coffee growing and roasting. They’re running a weekly webinar (with replays) that covers all things marketing, supply chain management, and financial stability for roasters.

The Spoon

This food tech publication hosted a full-day summit and divided the videos up into separate webinars. They’re all fantastic, but most are geared toward restaurants, not coffee companies.

However, their session on the Payment Protection Program, which was part of the $2T stimulus in the United States, is exceptional. It could help you continue to pay your employees, even if you have to close shop for a while.

Help me out. What resources have helped you?

Hit reply and let me know. I’ll share them here later!

Thanks!
